Longing to Forgive

Today, as I was stirring my coffee concoction, which was made of too much Splenda, powdered Coffee-mate creamer and liquid pumpkin flavored Coffee-mate, I thought about someone I love with all of my spirit and heart. I was thinking how I would probably never see or hear from them again. My wounds are still fresh, thus I am once again in a state of heartbreak. As I was standing there, staring at my coffee, I had a vision of them coming back to me, asking for forgiveness, and wanting to rectify what went wrong. In the midst of this vision, my heart leaped and I could feel the love and desire as I welcomed them with open arms and love…..smiling, my heart bursting with joy, as we reunited. The love of feeling them reconciled to me was so overwhelming and joyful that I didn’t care what had caused our separation, but I was so happy that they came to me for forgiveness. Forgiveness was what I wanted to do, forgetting the past, and being thankful for the future. Then, suddenly, I pictured our Heavenly Father, longing to receive his children back to him. He is eager to not only forgive, but forget our sins forever. I could feel the hurt of the Heavenly Father waiting for us. He is eagerly waiting for us to confess our sins, not because he wants to say “I told you so and you are nothing without me”, but because he wants to be the good God that he is, showing his love to us each and everyday, unconditionally. Thank you Father God for welcoming us with open arms each time we make a mistake and look to you for comfort.

What a great blog about forgiveness. God is waiting for us to repent our sins, change our behavior and do the right thing with God word. God gave us a choice to look pass the worry, to rise above the depression and push through the doubt to a present and future with him. Thank you for the comforting words and the inspiration to move forward with God.
Thank you for your inspirational comment! Once we make the choice, God is waiting with open arms. God Bless You!
